Ciao!

My name is Edo, welcome to Orbeterra.

Recorded just before Christmas 2025 at Cure Kaua‘i Sauna, this episode is a humble overture to my multimedia podcast exploring all things worldly and otherworldly, natural and supernatural, through arts & science as we travel around the planet.

In this inaugural chapter, I’m joined by my wife Racquel (and our mini schnauzer Tobi), as we introduce the vision behind the show: a project years in the making that brings together storytelling, singing-songwriting, science, sustainability, and grounded earthly living.

We share how we went from long-distance colleagues to life-long soulmates, solarpunk band-mates, and sauna owners; and how I went from Nikola Tesla biographer to writing sci-fi and researching UAP.

Inside the episode:

  • How we met, our backgrounds, and the birthing and christening of Orbeterra and our music duo Volterra
  • A trailer of the music-film Mission to Earth by Nyado (featuring Watly & Phy), filmed in Kenya and Italy
  • Our 2020 Patreon song “From Ragtime to Riches” (Rocky Fox days)
  • A live acoustic performance of “Panspermia” from our upcoming album
  • A firelight reading of my original short story “The S.word” (about a future beyond speech), with sauna ambience + live ASMR with Pacific Ocean shells, Rudraksha seeds, and our retired wedding rings
  • An introduction to Pscience, and why it’s important to bring everything back to Earth

I also want to express my deepest gratitude for the following people: Racquel, for loving me, harmonizing with me, falling asleep to my impromptu bed time stories, and helping me ground this project into real-world lived experience; our families, Rispoli-Segato and Martin-Figueroa, for unconditional love and support and for raising us, in spite of our high strangeness; Enrique Spacca for our brotherhood, inspiration in music, art, spirit, and managing your life with Notion; Idan Abrahamson for friendship, music, timeless dad jokes, and for co-creating Nyado and Mission To Earth (“we had to go back!”); Josh Schrei for his mythic wisdom and mentoring fellowship with the Emerald Podcast, and our first serendipitous Taco Tuesday; Kelly Chase and Jay Christopher King for inspiring me to start my own project and for unknowingly featuring my hometown in Cosmosis - UFOs & a New Reality; Dr Michael P. Masters for his friendship, support, humor, warm sweaters, chicken sauna and not quitting his mission; Edoardo Russo (CISU); Michael Cifone (Society for UAP Studies), Greg Bishop (Radio Misterioso), Frederik Uldall (DNUS); and many others. Last but not least, Marco Antonio Attisani: I wouldn’t be here without him, his trust, and his inspiring ideas, nor would I have met my wife. Thank you all!
